The solemn vespers service at the Ss. Peter and Paul's Church - Lunawa was celebrated, the chief celebrant was Rev. Fr. Chinthaka Perera, Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Sunil Peiris and Assistant to the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Dilran Peiris were also present. The benediction of the Blessed Sacrament was done by Rev. Chinthaka Perera. After the service the devotees took the Blessed statues of Ss. Peter and Paul around the Lunawa area amidst decorated streets. After returning to church, the final blessing was given Rev. Fr. Dilran Peiris.
