Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera announced today the 26th of May 2013 that the entire Jubilee debt of the Queen of Angels' Church - Rawatawatte has been settled and that he would relieve the office duties as Parish Priest of the Rawatawatta Parish. He also noted that it is the reason why he refused to leave the Parish on the effective date while also noting that he would not attended any fairwell as the settlement of debt and the period he was allowed to stay as the Parish Priest of Rawatawatte was the greatest gift of all in his entire career.

Upon the announcement of Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera's transfer, a number of parishioners and well-wishers together with Father Tyronne utilized all influences in a last minute struggle to settle the debt of the church as they felt it was necessary that he leaves the Parish as a Priest who built the Parish and not as a Priest who made the Parish debt.

Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera leaves the Parish in all its Glory, thankful to the people behind the scene who made this all possible.

Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera is now the Parish Priest of the Pannipitiya Catholic Parish.
