The festive high mass of the St. Francis Xavier's Church at Angulana was conducted. The chief celebrant was Son of soil Rev. Fr. Gihan Gunathilake together with the Parish Priests and Brother Rev. Fr. Tyronne Perera, Rev. Fr. Kasun Fernando and Bro. Sameera of Angulana.

The Chief Priest of the Angulana Methodist Church was also present at the occasion.

After the Festive High mass the devotees in tradition took the statue of St. Francis Xavier along the roads of Angulana where thousands of devotees Catholic and Non-Catholic filled to roads to go under the statue to receive the blessings which has been a tradition for more than 140 years.
