The remains of the Priest from the Parish Rev. Fr. Damian Fernando OMI was bought to the Queen Of Angels' Church and placed for the public to pay their last respects.

At 3.30PM with the presence of the provincial of Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate Rev. Fr. Rohan Silva the funeral service was conducted. The Parish Priest of Rawathawatta Rev. Fr. Sunil Peiris and his Assistant Rev. Fr. Dilran Peiris together with many friends, colleagues, Priests and religious were present to pay their last respects.

Rev. Fr. Damian Fernando, was a neurologist who contributed his entire life to the betterment of people. Even after falling ill he continued his work to help those who suffer.
